The 13th Annual Town & Country Couture Design Competition culminated with a festive celebration at
the Blush Lounge (Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas) on May 30, 2008 where the winners were announced to a crowd buzzing
with excitement. Voting on the jewelry design entries began online on May 5th and nearly 12,000 votes were cast.
The finalists, who were selected on May 21 based on the results of the online voting, were on display for onsite voting at Couture.
Finalists, Cornerstone Retailers and editors gathered for the announcement of the winners.
"The online judging was a terrific success," notes Lee Arevian, VP, Couture, "Not only did we get more entries and votes than
ever before, we were also able to generate a tremendous amount of pre-show marketing for our exhibitors and excitement about the competition."
Jim Taylor, Publisher of Town & Country, announced each of the winners; the winners pieces took center stage adorning elegantly
dressed models. "We received so many exceptional design entries and we really captured the essence of this competition," notes Taylor,
"It was so exciting to see both established and up-and-coming designers take home awards."
